Week Six

Puppies are over 8 pounds now and growing quickly. They enjoy running around the lawn and playfully growling and chewing on one another. Kijah has begun weaning them, and they are catching on to puppy food well! Enjoy the pictures. :)

Week Five

The puppies are eating solid food now and running around! Red girl weighs in at 7 lbs. 7 oz. and Willow (cream girl) weighs 8 lbs. 1 oz. Hope to have some videos up in the next couple weeks!

Week Four

Puppies are growing up into little doggies! They bark and run around and greet people now. Willow is 6 lbs. 7 oz. and the red girl is 6 lbs. 1 oz. Enjoy! :)

Week Three

Puppies are almost five pounds now. Their eyes are open and they are starting to wobble around and growl and bark. They've had their first deworming shot already and they're both quite healthy. Kijah is content to wander about the house until they need feeding, but she's still an attentive mother and comes back frequently to check on them. She's not so protective of her puppies and she doesn't mind people holding them for longer periods of time, as long as she knows where the puppies are and has been introduced to the people.

Cream colored puppy has a family already, and her name will likely be "Willow". :)

Week Two

Well, it's already week two and the puppies are growing so fast! Red girl has reached the weight of 2 lbs. 12 oz. as of this morning, and cream girl is 3 lbs. 3 oz. They are both crawling around fairly well, and I think they are starting to hear things a bit. Their eyes should be opening within a week or so as well. They eat and sleep all day long mostly, and they're making adorable noises. They are much larger than my last litter at this age, but that's because they get all the food. Currently, they're about the size of an average three week old puppy. My favorite is the red one, and my sister, Sarah, loves the cream one best. At least we aren't fighting over favorites. ;) Enjoy the pictures!
